2-Hour Activities

There will be a couple of hours between the ceremony and reception while the wedding party gets their pictures taken in Prince’s Island Park.

Calgary Tower

Located adjacent to the Fairmont Palliser, the Calgary Tower offers one of the best views in Calgary. Besides the view, visitors to the Observation Deck are able to
step out into space on the glass floor experience, 525 feet above the ground.

Stephen Avenue Shopping

This historic district boasts over 1,000 shops and facilities where you will find everything from specialty items to some of Calgary’s finest restaurants and pubs. The east end of Stephen Avenue is home to the theatre district, Olympic Plaza, and City Hall, while the west end has a wide range of shops, bars, and services.

The Core & Devonian Gardens

The Core boasts 160 stores, including the flagship Holt Renfrew. Showcasing the largest point-supported structural skylight in the world, and living green walls throughout, you can even travel the entire length of the mall inside using in the Plus 15 system. Don’t miss the new Devonian Gardens on the mall’s upper floors.

Glenbow Museum

Learn about the intriguing stories from Western Canada, and experience a museum, art gallery, library, and archives all under one roof.  One of the largest museums in Canada, the Glenbow Museum proudly offers visitors the opportunity to view more than a million artifacts and 28,000 works of art.

Prince’s Island Park

Linked by three bridges, including the new Peace Bridge, visitors can enjoy the serenity of a park within downtown Calgary.  A pathway and trail system offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a casual stroll alongside the Bow River.
